Duties and Responsibilities

Applications are invited for candidates with a Ph.D. in biostatistics, statistics, or a related quantitative field for a two-year Postdoctoral Research Fellow position within the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, Perelman School of Medicine, at the University of Pennsylvania. This position involves developing statistical methods, software, data analytic tools, and mathematical models for analyzing smartphone data in biomedical research cohorts with the goal of prompting interventions in vulnerable populations with psychiatric disorders. The particular methods focus for this position is on statistical inference in change point and neural network models for longitudinal data. There will be considerable opportunity to submit methods papers in top statistical journals as well as submit applied papers arising from our mobile health and precision medicine collaborations. The successful candidate will be working under the supervision of Dr. Ian Barnett.

Position Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Excellent programming skills in R and Python.
