The Division of Biostatistics advances scientific knowledge to benefit individual and population health by creating, disseminating, and implementing rigorous, innovative statistical methodologies across the entire spectrum of biomedical research.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Research Scientist/Biostatistician will work closely with Biostatistics faculty and clinical and basic science investigators on the application of statistical methods, data management, data workflows and data monitoring across a wide range of areas.
Position Qualifications
Master’s degree and 0-2 years of experience. Qualified candidates must demonstrate proficiency in statistical methods for clinical trials, longitudinal, multivariate and survival data analysis. Strong computational skills including proficiency in SAS and R are required (experience with Stata is desirable). Candidates should be highly motivated and dependable, be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, have a commitment to reproducible research practices and team science, and effective oral and written communication skills.
Salary RangeWithin the range of $85,000-$90,000, commensurate with degree and experience.
