CIMAT is a public research center integrated into the Mexican Public Centers System of the Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation (SECIHTI). It is dedicated to the generation, transmission, and application of specialized knowledge in the areas of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Oriented towards scientific research, the training of high-level human resources, the improvement of society’s mathematical competence, as well as support in solving problems that fall within its areas of interest, CIMAT seeks to contribute to scientific development and technology.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates are expected to contribute actively to strengthening and expanding the research activities of the Department of Probability and Statistics, as well as enhancing the national and international reputation of its graduate programs. In particular, they are expected to conduct internationally competitive research and establish collaborations both within the department and with other research groups at CIMAT, as well as with national and international institutions.
Position Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Statistics, Probability, or a closely related field, awarded within the
last six years.
