The Department of Population Health in the NYU School of Medicine was founded in 2012, and consists of core areas of biostatistics, epidemiology, healthful behavior change, comparative effectiveness and decision science, behavioral economics and health policy, and medical ethics.
Duties and Responsibilities
The postdoctoral fellow will engage in both methodology development and applied collaborative research in causal inference. Sample topics include Bayesian causal methods for policy evaluation, causal methods for time varying exposure and interference, and modern quasi-experimental methods. The fellow will have opportunities in pursuing independent funding.
Position Qualifications
Applicant should have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Statistics, Computer Science, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or other quantitative areas. Strong statistical knowledge and computational skills (being proficient in R and/or Python) are required. A successful candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, track record of peer reviewed publications, and strong motivation and dependability.
Salary RangeThe salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000 per year and will depend on qualification and experience of the candidate.
