Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Statistics in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) invites applications for a Full- or Part-Time Lecturer (Unit 18) Non-Senate Faculty position. The Department of Statistics oversees an undergraduate major in Data Science, a minor in Statistics, MS and PhD degrees in Statistics, and a professional Master of Data Science (MDS) degree. Undergraduate courses include non-calculus based statistics and biostatistics, and more advanced courses in probability, mathematical statistics, and statistical methodology. Graduate courses are offered to MS, PhD, and MDS students and to graduate students from other disciplines. Lecturer responsibilities
typically include teaching within the undergraduate curriculum, but opportunities for teaching within the graduate curriculum will be provided to individuals interested in such opportunities.

Position Qualifications

Desirable qualifications include a Ph.D. or M.S in Statistics, or equivalent education or experience in a related field plus successful university-level
teaching experience.

Salary Range$70,977 to $120,835
