Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Statistics and Applied Probability at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified lecturers to teach undergraduate statistics, data science, or probability for upcoming openings. Teaching duties include a range of introductory and upper-division courses. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the needs of the department. Positions may be either full-time or part-time. The department prioritizes candidates who would like to work full time

Position Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a graduate degree (Master's or higher, or equivalent degree i.e. International degree equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field at the time of application.

Preferred Qualifications:
Documented experience (between 5-10 years of full-time teaching experience) in teaching Statistics or a related field at the college level. A PhD (or equivalent) by the time of appointment.

Salary Range$79,887 - $117,315.
