Position Title: Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Duties and Responsibilities: The Department invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position under the mentorship of Dr. Bo Zhang, Associate Professor of Neurology (Biostatistics, Data Science) at Harvard Medical School. The successful candidate will: (1) develop and implement innovative statistical methodologies to ensure rigorous study design and analysis for natural history studies, registry studies, and clinical trials focused on rare pediatric neurological diseases; and (2) leverage data from natural history and registry studies to develop and apply advanced statistical methods and novel machine learning algorithms to inform the design and analysis of future clinical trials.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead both methodological and collaborative research on longitudinal studies and clinical trials focused on rare pediatric neurological diseases. It also provides training to prepare the successful candidate for a future leadership role in academia or industry. The successful candidate will work closely with interdisciplinary teams across departments and partner foundations, benefiting from the vibrant research environment at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
Position Qualifications: • Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong methodological background in longitudinal data analysis and machine learning (including deep learning).
• Proficiency in R and Python for statistical computing.
• Prior experience with clinical trials is preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Salary Range: $70,000–$72,000
