Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach a variety of data science and statistics courses primarily in an in-person format.
- Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
- Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of data science or statistics.
- Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.
- Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.
- Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community.
- Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.
- Teach courses using an innovative and modern curriculum.
- Contribute to the continued improvement of the curriculum in data science and statistics.
- Supervise capstone experiences, e.g. student research projects, internships, etc.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications include:
- Ph.D in Data Science, Statistics, or Biostatistics with an anticipated completion date before August 2027, and
- Experience teaching an undergraduate data science or statistics course as the primary instructor or as a teaching assistant
Salary Range$64,963 - $193,146; commensurate with qualifications and experience
