Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Statistical Sciences at Wake Forest University welcomes applications for one tenured position at either the Associate or Full Professor level. We welcome applications from all areas within Statistics, Biostatistics, and related fields. The position begins July 1, 2027. Skillful teaching is a key responsibility, with a 2-2 teaching load that includes courses at both introductory and advanced undergraduate levels and at the Master’s level. Additionally, the successful candidate will maintain a robust program of research and publication, in keeping with standards of the discipline, mentor students in research, and support the Wake Forest University mission through service to the department, the College of Liberal Arts, and the university.

Position Qualifications

An earned Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field is required for the position. Qualified applicants will demonstrate all of the following: 1) evidence of teaching excellence as well as potential to contribute to the department’s curriculum; 2) demonstrated research excellence and clear evidence of active, continuing scholarly productivity; 3) demonstrated commitment and dedication to mentoring students at the undergraduate and/or Master’s level; 4) deep service engagement and demonstrated excellence in leadership.
