The Department of Statistics and Data Science at the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for tenure-track and tenured faculty positions in statistics, data science, computer science, and related areas at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor levels. The anticipated start date is July 2027.
The Department currently has nearly 40 faculty members and provides a vibrant and collaborative research environment. Faculty members benefit from a research-friendly teaching load and strong institutional support for research activities.
The Department offers undergraduate programmes in Statistics, Data Science and Applied AI. We are committed to excellence in both research and education and welcome applicants from all areas of statistics, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer science, and related disciplines.
Duties and Responsibilities
For Assistant Professorships: teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students; conducting original research of high quality and impact. Additionally, for Associate or Full Professorships, service and committee work may also be required.
Position Qualifications
Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant field by the time of appointment.
For Assistant Professor positions, we seek candidates with outstanding research potential and a strong commitment to teaching. For Associate Professor and Professor positions, we seek candidates with established records of excellence in research, teaching, and academic leadership.
