The Biostatistical Collaboration and Consultation Core (BC3), within NYU's School of Global Public Health. The mission of the BC3 is: (1) to be a high-quality resource for robust, reliable, and reproducible statistical support; and (2) to educate and train the next generation of collaborative statisticians.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide expert statistical support across several collaborative research projects within GPH and other NYU schools, working at the intersection of rigorous quantitative methods and real-world biomedical and public health research. We seek candidates who can independently drive study design and statistical analysis on complex projects, communicate results clearly to diverse audiences, and contribute to a collegial, team-based environment.
Position Qualifications
* PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field (obtained by start date).
* Demonstrated experience applying a range of statistical modeling techniques.
* The ability to implement reproducible, well-documented analyses in R and/or Python.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* The ability to collaborate independently with investigators, and to contribute to publications in scientific journals.
* Commitment to open science, reproducibility, and scientific ethics.
Salary Range$73,000-$90,000
