Vassar is a highly selective, coeducational liberal arts college of about 2400 undergraduate students, located in the Hudson Valley, seventy-five miles north of New York City. Vassar faculty are committed teachers/scholars who bring research and creative discovery to life for students in classrooms, labs, and studios and in individually-mentored projects. They teach broadly in the curricula of their departments, advise students, and serve on college-wide and departmental committees. Duties and Responsibilities

The teaching load for this full-time visiting faculty position is five courses per year, focused on our statistics curriculum, including courses on introductory statistics, probability theory, and statistical inference.

Position Qualifications

Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence and inclusivity in undergraduate education and must have completed a Ph.D., or have made substantial progress toward completion of the Ph.D., in statistics or a related field, by the start date. An active research program is neither required nor expected as part of this position. However, Vassar provides support for all full-time faculty for teaching development, research, publication, and conference travel.

Salary Range$94,000 to $98,000
