Duties and Responsibilities
The Department of Statistics at Iowa State University invites candidates to apply for a term faculty position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. Responsibilities include teaching statistics courses to graduate students in our online Master of Applied Statistics (MAS) degree program, as well as teaching both in person and online undergraduate statistics courses and courses for graduate students majoring in fields other than statistics. The position also includes revising or developing online courses. The successful candidate will have excellent teaching and communication skills and provide effective and welcoming learning experiences for all students. Position Qualifications
Required Minimum Qualifications:
MS in statistics or a closely related field by the time of appointment
Teaching experience at the college or university level
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in statistics or a closely related field by the time of appointment
Teaching experience as the instructor of record in statistics at the university level
Experience with teaching, revising, or developing online courses
