Duties and Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
Tenure-Track faculty positions:
- Focus on the research topics;
- Help with scientific activities;
- Tutor students;
- Teaching.
Teaching-track faculty positions:
- Develop and teach global-standard curricula and courses in Statistics or related areas (in English).
- Enhance student motivation and interest in Statistics.
- Support students’ learning and provide individualized assistance; ensure sufficient office hours to consult with students regularly; and train and guide teaching assistants.
- Organize and participate in other teaching-related activities on campus.
Position Qualifications
1.Tenure-track faculty positions
·Have obtained a Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Data Science, Biostatistics, or a closely related field.
·Demonstrated potential for excellence in independent research in Statistical Science, Data Science, Probability, or related areas.
2.Teaching-track faculty positions
·Ph.D. in Statistics, Data Science, Biostatistics, or a closely related field by the start date.
·A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses (in English) covering Statistics, Data Science, and Probability.
·Demonstrated strong research capabilities or engagement in one or more of the following areas: Statistical Science, Data Science, Probability Theory, Stochastic Processes, and their applications (e.g., Big Data, Biostatistics, Financial Mathematics, Stochastic Numerical Methods).
