Position Title: Assistant Professor of Statistics

Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Statistical Sciences at Wake Forest University welcomes applications for three tenure-track faculty positions as Assistant Professor of Statistics. We welcome applications from all areas within Statistics, Biostatistics, and Data Science. The positions begin July 1, 2026. Skillful teaching is a key responsibility, with a 2-2 teaching load that includes courses at both introductory and advanced undergraduate levels and at the graduate level. Additionally, the successful candidate will maintain a robust program of research and publication, in keeping with standards of the discipline, and support the Wake Forest University mission through service to the department, the College of Liberal Arts, and the university.

Position Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field is required for the position; ABD candidates are invited to apply. Qualified applicants will demonstrate their ability to teach courses in statistics or biostatistics, initiate and sustain original research and scholarship in their area(s) of expertise, and contribute to an academic environment that fosters learning and growth for all its stakeholders.
