University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center – Masters Level Biostatistician

Company Information: The growing Businelle Lab at the Health Promotion Research Center (HPRC) at the NCI Designated Stephenson Cancer Center and University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Position Title: Masters Level Biostatistician

Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provide statistical support on multiple federally funded and pilot studies that use smartphone-based ecological momentary assessments and just-in-time adaptive interventions to address smoking cessation, cannabis cessation/reduction, alcohol cessation/reduction, best practices for ecological momentary assessment, anxiety and depression, and cancer. 2. Work with Dr. Businelle and 2 current post-doctoral fellows in analyzing data, and designing and submitting research studies to funding agencies.
3. Assist in writing up research results publication. The Businelle lab produces ~30 peer-reviewed publications each year.

Position Qualifications: Candidates must have a Master’s degree in biostatistics, statistics, quantitative psychology, or related field and experience in conducting collaborative research. Experience with intensive longitudinal data analysis, multilevel modeling, power analysis, and handling missing data is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Preferred experience with large datasets (e.g., using multilevel models to analyze ecological momentary assessment data).

Salary Range: Up to $60,000
