Ahmedabad University – Assistant/Associate/Professor in Environmental Epidemiology/Healthal

Environmental health is a major initial priority with a focus on climate change, sustainability and environmental epidemiology. Position Title: Assistant/Associate/Professor in Environmental Epidemiology/Healthal

Duties and Responsibilities: Faculty are expected to teach, engage in interdisciplinary research, apply for external funding for their research, advise students, and contribute to translating research into action.

Position Qualifications: • Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent with training and experience relating to climate change and other aspects of the environment, with a focus on public health, and a proven ability to advance the science of environmental influences on health.

• Expertise in both prospective and retrospective environmental epidemiologic studies

• Must have experience working with large health and demographic datasets and have a clear understanding of data systems and data linkage.

• Proficient and experienced in using big data techniques, exposome measurement, life course approaches, and/or the application of omics-based methods.

• A strong teaching and publication track record.

• Experience with curriculum development.

• A good track record of getting external funding for research is highly desirable.
