Position Title: Visiting Assistant Professor in Statistics
Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Statistics at the University of California, Davis, is soliciting applications for Visiting Assistant Professor positions starting Fall 2025. The Department seeks applicants with excellent research potential in areas of faculty interest, and effective teaching skills. The teaching load is 4 quarter-long courses. The Visiting Assistant Professor is expected to teach at all levels (lower division, upper division, and graduate) and to participate in the offering of research seminars, research training programs, undergraduate research and special topics courses.
The start date for these positions is July 1, 2025.
Position Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Statistics or a related area is required. Applicants should have completed their Ph.D. by the time of their appointment, but no earlier than July 1, 2020.
Preference is given to candidates who have a strong interest in the research in and teaching of computational statistics and data science.
Salary Range: 88,200
