Company Information: The research group of Dr. Marie Düker at the Department of Data Science, in collaboration with the Teaching Unit for Mathematics and Data Science at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the field of Statistics, with a focus on Time Series Analysis.
Position Title: Postdoctoral Position in Statistics
Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research in time series analysis, with opportunities to develop and explore novel statistical methodology, applications in data science, and interdisciplinary collaborations. The position also includes teaching duties within the mathematics and data science curriculum.
Position Qualifications: A PhD (or close to completion) in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
Strong background in statistical theory/methodology, time series analysis,
Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python).
Interest in interdisciplinary applications and teaching.
(Speaking German is not required).
Salary Range: A competitive salary according to the German public service scale (TV-L)
Benefits: Duration: 2 years
Start Date: Between July and October 2025.
