Position Title: Postdoctoral Fellow
Duties and Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly motivated full-time Postdoctoral Scholar to join our group. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Myeonggyun Lee and Dr. Mengling Liu, focusing on developing novel statistical methods for integrating and analyzing complex biomedical data, such as electronic health records and large cohort studies. Areas of interest include but not limited to survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, functional data analysis, mediation analysis, causal inference, risk prediction, semiparametric models, and high-dimensional observational data. The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, apply novel statistical methods to real-world biomedical data, develop grant-writing skills, and pursue independent funding opportunities.
Position Qualifications: Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field. A strong background in statistical methodology, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in R or other statistical computing tools are required. Prior coursework and experience in longitudinal and survival data analysis with high-dimensional data are preferred. Successful candidates should demonstrate strong motivation, independence, and dependability. The position is for one year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year based on performance.
Salary Range: Competitive
Benefits: Salary will be based on the NIH postdoctoral research salary scale, considering qualifications and experience. Travel support for conferences is available.
