Teach three courses per semester (9 credits), ranging from foundational to advanced courses in Statistics. Preference will be given to individuals with the potential to teach courses that contribute to our expanding Data Science program
Integrate engaging and inclusive pedagogies and technology to enhance student learning
Develop and maintain a research agenda that leads to scholarly presentations and publications
Seek funding to support research or teaching when such support is available
Advise and mentor students to help them achieve their academic and career goals
Engage in appropriate departmental, college, university, professional, and/or public service as relevant to the position
Demonstrate a willingness to communicate information about their area of expertise with the public
Foster an inclusive environment and contribute to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion at Quinnipiac University and within the Department
A PhD in Statistics or similar area is required before position starts
Experience or a demonstrated commitment to working with diverse student populations and with the effective use of inclusive teaching strategies
Demonstrated ability to conduct and publish research
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred qualifications:
Demonstrated success in teaching, preferably at the college level
Ability to teach courses that support actuarial science or data sciences
