In July 2024, Tsinghua University established a Department of Statistics and Data Science（DSDS）, which is a university level independent academic entity. The department evolves from the Center for Statistical Science which was established in 2015 and has attained good accomplishments in research, education and societal contributions. Tsinghua University is one of the very top universities in China. Its establishment of the Department of Statistics and Data Science represents a milestone for Statistics and Data Science in China, and a significant step for Tsinghua University to leverage on data and Statistics to optimize its educational and research portfolios. The department will be focused on three key areas of research: the core of Statistics and Data Science, statistical foundation of AI and machine learning, and cross-disciplinary research.
1.Teaching undergraduate program, a minimum of 256 credit hours each year, good teaching effect;
2.Participate in the research program of teaching innovation and reform,
3.Participate in public service of DSDS.
Applicants should hold a PhD degree in statistics. Proficiency in reading English publication and oral academic communication in English.
