Position Title: Postdoctoral Associate Position
Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Statistics and Data Science at the University of Pennsylvania is offering a postdoctoral associate position under the supervision of Professor Bingxin Zhao (https://www.bingxinzhao.com/). This position is designed to serve as a career-building opportunity for emerging scholars, with a primary focus on developing the scholar's independent research program.
The position will focus on data-driven, application-driven, and science-driven projects in biomedical data science. Topics include but are not limited to: Graph representation learning, AI agents, Cloud computing, and Knowledge graphs.
Position Qualifications: Candidates should demonstrate outstanding research potential and motivation. Successful applicants are expected to have received strong training in one or more of the following fields:
Statistics/Biostatistics; Applied Mathematics; Computer Science; Computational Biology; Electrical Engineering; and Bioinformatics.
Preferred qualifications include strong coding skills (widely defined, such as Python, Linux, and wed development) and familiarity with at least one major biomedical data type (e.g., imaging, omics, genetics, EHR).
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The position is for one year, with the possibility of renewal.
