Our specialized care teams provide personalized, compassionate, expert care to patients of all ages. Informed by basic research done at our Sloan Kettering Institute, scientists across MSK collaborate to conduct innovative translational and clinical research that is driving a revolution in our understanding of cancer as a disease and improving the ability to prevent, diagnose, and treat it. MSK is dedicated to training the next generation of scientists and clinicians, who go on to pursue our mission at MSK and around the globe. One of the world’s most respected comprehensive centers devoted exclusively to cancer, we have been recognized as one of the top two cancer hospitals in the country by U.S. News & World Report for more than 30 years.

Duties and Responsibilities

The emergence of novel cancer therapies marks a new era in oncology and brings significant challenges and opportunities for improving care delivery. As these therapies continue to evolve, understanding how to provide high-quality, efficient, and equitable cancer care is essential for enhancing both survival rates and patients' quality of life. Clinician scientists play a pivotal role in bridging research methods to clinical practice, ensuring that evidence-based approaches are integrated into patient care to address treatment-related toxicities, financial burdens, and overall well-being.

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is one of the world's leading institutions dedicated to cancer care, research, and education. Located in New York City, MSK is renowned for its cutting-edge treatments, state-of-the-art facilities, and groundbreaking research in oncology. As part of its commitment to training, MSK offers the OPTICS (Oncology-focused Postdoctoral Training in Care Delivery and Symptom Science) program, funded by an NCI-T32 grant. This program provides postdoctoral fellows with two years of funding, beginning in July 2025, with a possibility of extension.
