The Yale School of Public Health Biostatistics department develops quantitative methodologies and tools for rigorous scientific research to solve the world’s most challenging problems in biology, medicine and public health. Our view of biostatistics encompasses all aspects of the scientific method, from study design and data collection to computation, statistical analysis and interpretation and communication of findings. Our faculty are leaders in the research, development and application of statistical methods in areas across the field of biostatistics and health data science.
The Department of Biostatistics at the Yale School of Public Health (YSPH), Yale University, invites applications for a full-time postdoctoral associate position. The successful candidate will engage in innovative research addressing complex biomedical and health-related challenges, focusing on advanced analytical method developments and applications leveraging large-scale, multi-source, multi-dimensional datasets from both in-house studies and landmark databases or biobanks. We particularly focus on real-world applications in psychiatry, mental health, aging, and related fields.
The postdoctoral associate will work under the mentorship of Dr. Yize Zhao and will potentially collaborate with her collaborators from Yale School of Medicine and other institutions. We seek candidates with strong analytical, computational, and communication skills. While a background in medical imaging, genetics, -omics, or electronic health records (EHR) is beneficial, it is not required.
The quantified candidates should have or about to have a doctoral degree in statistics, biostatistics, bioengineering or a related area, and be able to start this position between the summer or fall of 2025.
