Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center – Doctoral-level Biostatistician

Company Information: Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a doctoral-level biostatistician to fill an open-rank faculty position.

Position Title: Doctoral-level Biostatistician

Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to pursue independent research interests, use modern analytic and computational methods to design and analyze clinical trials and observational studies while collaborating with investigators studying the full spectrum of problems in cancer research, and become a leader throughout the institution and the oncology community in cancer research methods. The ideal applicant must have a strong commitment to statistical collaborations with medical or basic science investigators, excellent communication skills, and an interest in pursuing independent methodological research. Experience with hematologic cancers is preferred but not required.

Position Qualifications: Successful candidates will join an existing group of 45 biostatisticians (19 faculty and 26 research staff), which include five ASA fellows, editors of leading journals, and presidents of international societies. The current interests of the faculty include methodology for the design and analysis of clinical trials, epidemiologic studies, genomics, latent variable modeling, diagnostic test evaluations, survival analysis, computer intensive methods, hierarchical modeling, and Bayesian techniques. Salary Range: $95,000 – $336,000
