Department of Statistics and Data Science, Tsinghua University – Assistant/Associate/Full Professor application
Company Information: In July 2024, Tsinghua University established a Department of Statistics and Data Science, which is a university level independent academic entity. The department evolved from the Center for Statistical Science which was established in 2015 and has attained good accomplishments in research, education and societal contributions. Tsinghua University is one of the very top universities in China. Its establishment of the Department of Statistics and Data Science represents a milestone for Statistics and Data Science in China, and a significant step for Tsinghua University to leverage on data and Statistics to optimize its educational and research portfolios. The department will be focused on three key areas of research, namely in the core theory of Statistics and data science, the statistical foundations of AI and machine learning, and cross-disciplinary research.
The Department of Statistics and Data Science at Tsinghua University invites applications for open rank faculty positions in the new department, starting from January 2025. Candidates with expertise in all areas of Statistics and Data Science or related fields are encouraged to apply.
Position Title: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor application
Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Conducting original and high quality research in Statistics and Data Science, mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
2.Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at a teaching load of two courses per year.
3.Departmental Services.
Position Qualifications: Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in Statistics or closely related fields, have achieved high-quality research achievements or good research potentials, and being collegiality senior positions, we expect an excellent publication records and satisfying teaching performance in current position.
