The candidate will be given the opportunity to pursue a broad research agenda at the intersection of statistics and machine learning and will ideally have a background in at least one of the following areas: latent variable models, deep generative models, causal inference, nonparametric statistics, learning theory, or graphical models.
The candidate should have a recent Ph.D. (or all-but-dissertation) in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related area, and should be proficient in programming in Python or R. This position is expected to last at least one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to three years.
