CTC is seeking a dynamic and accomplished individual to join our esteemed team as a Professor or Associate Professor of Biostatistics. The successful candidate will lead cutting-edge research, oversee excellence in biostatical analyses and contribute to the advancement of biostatistical methodology, with a focus on its applications in health and medical research. The NHMRC Trial Centre is renowned for its involvement in large-scale clinical trials and diverse trial methodologies across diverse disease areas.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

Conduct innovative research in biostatistics, particularly in the context of clinical trials, clinical epidemiology, and public health.

Lead and collaborate on clinical trials, contributing statistical expertise to study design, data analysis, and the interpretation of results.

Mentor and guide junior researchers, fostering a collaborative and intellectually stimulating research environment.

Contribute to the development and implementation of biostatistical methodologies that address current challenges in health and medical research.

Position Qualifications

Qualifications

A doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field.

A strong record of research accomplishments, including high impact publications and involvement in successful grant applications.

Expertise in the application of biostatistics to diverse areas of health and medical research, with a focus on clinical trials.

Experience in mentoring and supervising researchers at various career stages.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
