The Department of Population Health of NYU School of Medicine was founded in 2012, and consists of core areas of biostatistics, epidemiology, healthful behavior change, comparative effectiveness and decision science, behavioral economics and health policy, and medical ethics.
The position is in the Division of Biostatistics, Department of Population Health at NYU and under the supervision of Dr. Huilin Li, Professor, Director of NYU Langone Multi-omics Study Design and Data Integration Resource. This is a training position designed to learn through an advanced level of scientific research efforts in bioinformatical/statistical methodology development and biomedical collaborations. Applicants must demonstrate interest in omics data analysis. It requires developing computational methods for analysis of metagenomics, microbiome data and multi-omics data integration; interact with NYULMC multiple research collaborative labs; extensive analysis of multi-modal longitudinal large biomedical studies.
PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, or Computational Biology; Strong quantitative and computational skills; Ability of analyzing large data sets; Strong communication skills. Prior experiences in analyzing the high-dimensional data are preferred.
