Clinical Associate/Full Professor 10, Biostatistics

UB provides a rich environment for collaborative interdisciplinary research with faculty within the SPHHP, as well as with faculty at other schools located in the Academic Health Center (Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing), and faculty outside of the Academic Health Center, such as Social Work, Law, Architecture and Planning, Engineering and Applied Sciences, and others.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates are expected to contribute to the teaching, scholarship, and service mission of the Department of Biostatistics and the School of Public Health and Health Professions. We are particularly looking for candidates who can operate effectively in a team environment and in a diverse community of students and faculty, as well as share our vision of fostering all students to reach their full potential. The expected teaching load is 7 courses per year (3-4 courses per semester), with summer appointment opportunities as needed. The successful candidate will have opportunities for advancing department initiatives across the university. While the primary focus is on teaching, successful candidates are encouraged to engage in research scholarship in their specialty area.

Position Qualifications

A doctorate degree in statistics or biostatistics.
An established record of excellence in teaching at the graduate or undergraduate level.
A record or potential for publication (in methodological or educational journals).
