Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral research fellow to join our team at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, UCSF. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-dimensional statistics, deep learning, and/or related fields, as well as high computational skills. The appointed researcher will conduct their studies under the guidance of Dr. Fei Jiang, focusing on a spectrum of investigative initiative that leverage statistical and machine learning techniques in neuroimaging research. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following projects: (1) applying deep learning to boost the boundary element method's effectiveness in volume conduct forward modeling, (2) enhancing the image clarity of 4D flow MRI through deep learning, (3) utilizing hemodynamic indicators to forecast the growth of aneurysms. The outcomes of this research can be patents or scholarly article. additionally, the fellow will have the privilege of working alongside renowned experts within the Department of Radiology, Memory Aging Center, and throughout the university.

Position Qualifications

Ph.D. in statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field High computational skills (e.g., Python, R)
Excellent programming and data analysis skills
Strong research and writing skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
