Assistant Professor in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics

The University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center seeks candidates for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor with strong background in bioinformatics, such as statistical and computational methods for single cell sequencing, immuno-oncology, circular RNA profiling, microbiome, metabolomics and ‘omics integration.

This new faculty member is expected to work collaboratively with basic science, clinical, and population-based investigators at the Markey Cancer Center, to pursue independent methodological research, and to participate in education activities.

The position requires a Ph.D. degree in biostatistics, computer science, bioinformatics or a related field. In addition, strong methodologic and applied expertise, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and productivity in research, teaching and aptitude for mentoring is required. Experience in cancer-related research is preferred, though not required.
