The postdoctoral fellow will study sex-bias in the genetic basis of complex traits. The emphasis of this position is in generating statistical and bioinformatics resources, by developing measures of sex bias and studying approaches for using them to increase statistical power for testing and understanding sex-specific trait architecture.
The position is in the Sofer lab, within the program of Sleep Medicine Epidemiology at the Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The fellow will work collaboratively with a diverse group of experts in statistics, bioinformatics, genetics, and epidemiology. The candidate will ideally have background in handling large genetic data and strong familiarity with statistical models used in genetic association analyses.
Desired start is in fall 2020.
PhD in one of Biostatistics, Statistics, Computational Biology, Genetics Epidemiology, or equivalent.
