Duties and Responsibilities

Charlottesville, VA
The Department of Public Health Sciences is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor in Biostatistics. This tenure-eligible faculty position will play a major role in participating in collaborative research projects and in developing independent high-impact statistical research. The successful candidate will collaborate with UVA investigators on the analysis of data generated from various biomedical studies. In addition, the position will provide opportunities for developing his/her own high-impact statistical research.

Position Qualifications

Must be motivated, independent and highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education: Doctorate in Biostatistics, statistics, or closely related field

Experience: substantial experience in teaching statistics in graduate courses; a record of peer-reviewed publications, and a track record or potential in high-impact methodologic or applied statistic research.
