Position TitleAssistant/Associate Professor of Applied Statistics

Founded in 1831 and located in the historic city of Tuscaloosa, The University of Alabama is the main campus of the university system and the largest in the state with a total enrollment of over 38,500 students. The Culverhouse College of Commerce, founded in 1919, now includes over 9,150 students and 150 faculty members. Duties and Responsibilities

The Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama invites applications for two tenure track or tenured Applied Statistics faculty positions at the assistant/associate professor level with an expected start date of August 16, 2019.

Candidates must hold a Doctorate in Statistics or a closely related field. Successful candidates are expected to conduct and lead independent research in statistics. Candidates with research interests in network analysis, machine learning, statistical learning, or computational and Bayesian methods are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants for the Associate Professor position should have an established record of publication in leading journals and a successful record of obtaining extramural funding. Rank will be commensurate with experience and achievements. Applicants for the Assistant Professor position should have at least three years of experience at the proposed start date of August 16, 2019.
